What it does
When your phone or watch records a workout, Earlie sends you one short message with its real numbers: the distance, the time, your pace on a run or walk, your speed on a ride and your average heart rate when the watch has one. Then a well done. A ride or a hike you do often may also be your longest this month, and Earlie says so.
How to use it
- Do your workout with the phone or the watch. The Earlie app sends it, usually within an hour; opening the app sends it at once.
- Read the message. It comes about half an hour later, during the day and after your morning message.
- Reply any time. Ask “was that good?” soon after it and Earlie answers about that workout, from the same numbers, and keeps it short. Say “stop messaging me about my workouts” and these messages stop; “turn them back on” brings them back.
Limits
- Only activities from 10 minutes, and walks from 20 minutes. A short walk to the shop is not news.
- At most two a day. Workouts that arrive together come as one message.
- After two of Earlie’s tips with no answer that day, he waits until you write again. A workout older than 18 hours gets no message.
- Nothing for a gym session you already did with Earlie in the chat.
- Only between 07:00 and 21:00 your time. A late workout gets its message the next morning.
- No calories, and nothing if you chose to keep your health data out of Earlie.
