What it does
When you have not written for a week, Earlie does not send his usual message. He asks you once, in a few fixed words, if his messages still help: he can write less often, at another time, or take a break. You can also ask for a break from his messages any day, from one day up to 8 weeks, and Earlie stays quiet until then.
How to use it
- Answer the question in your own words. “Twice a week”, “write at 10”, “give me two weeks” or “all good” are enough.
- Ask for a break any day. For example “give me two weeks” or “until Monday”. Earlie says the day he writes again.
- Write whenever you like. Any message from you ends the break, and Earlie asks once if you want to keep it. Say “keep it” to stay on the break.
- End it early. Say “you can write again”.
Limits
- The question comes once for each quiet stretch. If you stay quiet after it, your usual messages go on as before.
- Data from your phone does not count as writing. Only your own messages and photos do.
- A break is at most 8 weeks. A message from you in the first two hours after the break starts does not end it.
